One of The Sherry Lansing Foundation's top initiatives is PrimeTime LAUSD, an innovative educational partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District that places highly qualified retirees in local public schools to fulfill specific needs.

This program marries the Foundation's commitment to improving public education with its devotion to the Older Adult Civic Engagement movement. This growing movement seeks to rally Americans over 60 – a demographic powerhouse that is larger, healthier, more successful and better educated than any other in history – and empower them to contribute their strengths and expertise to community improvement.

Another of the Foundation's key initiatives is the EnCorps Teachers Program. This public-private partnership is dedicated to recruiting and retraining retiring STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) professionals to increase the number of much-needed science and math teachers in California's public middle and high schools.

In addition to its educational programs, The Sherry Lansing Foundation actively supports cancer research. Ms. Lansing is a co-founder of Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), a revolutionary initiative to rally the public around the goal of ending cancer's reign as a leading cause of death. Through an innovative funding model, cutting-edge research will receive the critical resources required to accelerate cancer treatment towards a cure. SU2C will foster collaboration between interdisciplinary, multi-institutional "Dream Teams" of physician-scientists, along with clinical and laboratory researchers, who will pool the results of their ground-breaking experiments and push scientific breakthroughs to the finish.

The Sherry Lansing Foundation is based in Los Angeles, CA. For more information about our programs, please visit the PrimeTime LAUSD website, the EnCorps website, or Stand Up To Cancer website.
